Replacing an air line to my automatic tool changer on my CNC Milling Machine.

Making a simple vise step jaw for a machining a 6061 PCB enclosure for a solid state relay module / controller. The design was done in Fusion 360 and machined using my Excel VMC. The step jaw fits the DX6 Crossover Kurt vise.

Prototyping a smaller CNC tooling plate. I had a few issues during machining this part and I go over how I corrected them. Fixture/Tooling plates are used for many of the custom parts I make.

I had a bore size issue on the #1 Tap Adapter Trays and had to setup a job to fix the bore size and chamfer. I made a math error on the first tray. I hooked up three phase power from an American Rotary AD-20 phase converter to the new to me Excel PMC vertical cnc mill. Repairs were made to the machine’s door slide and inital Fanuc troubleshooting of a servo drive error ended up being a fiber optic cable that had disconnected during shipping.

Moving a VMC Vertical CNC Mill with steel bars. The VMC is a Excel PMC series mill with Fanuc 0M controls. This replaces my old smaller VMC (HAAS Mini Mill) with a new to me larger model. I moved this mill single handed once in the shop. A rollback wrecker did a great job doing the local transport to my shop floor.
